The National Montford Point Marine Association (NMPMA) Inc. is a nonprofit Veteran's organization, established to perpetuate the legacy of the first African Americans who entered the United States Marine Corps between 26 August 1942 - 9 September 1949, at Montford Point Camp, New River, North Carolina.

Membership in the Association is open to veterans and active duty members of all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces regardless of race, creed, or natural origin.

The purpose of the Association is to support educational assistance programs, veterans programs, and promotion of community services.  The Association works to improve the social conditions of our veterans, local families, youth and the growing population of senior citizens.

Assoc. Membership Criteria

Come join the NMPMA Inc family.  Membership in the Association is open to veterans and active members who meet the following criteria:

  • Honorably served in the Armed forces of the U.S. at least 90 days on active duty
  • Received an honorable discharge at the time of separation

Aux. Membership Criteria

Membership in the Auxiliary is open to family members of veterans and active members.   

  • Includes spouses, children and siblings as an example
